COVID-19: How You Can Help Good Fellowship

March 23rd, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Good Fellowship have instituted scores of emergency procedures from limiting who is allowed into our stations to detailed protocols for disinfecting ambulances, equipment, and our facilities throughout the day and night. Our staff and volunteers are continuing to provide top quality life-saving services to everyone in our community, even though such care may put themselves at risk. Our EMS Providers are being screened at the beginning of each shift for any fever, complaints, and travel history.

During this unprecedented time our already-tight budget is being stretched to the limit by the additional costs we must incur, from increased staffing, to protective gear, cleaning supplies, and disinfecting equipment. Please consider extending your support to Good Fellowship and our dedicated first-responders who are committed to helping our communities stay safe during this crisis.

Unfortunately we cannot accept homemade cloth masks. We appreciate our community’s willingness to provide these masks, however we cannot ensure that they’re able to protect our EMS Providers fully.

Current Situation:

  • Total expenses related to COVID-19 preparation and response: $22,899.59 (as of March 30th)
  • Overall decreased call volume (>40%). This will have downstream revenue effects due to lack of insurance billings.
    • 71% of our income comes from these insurance billings.
  • All protective equipment and disinfectant is currently backordered from our suppliers. We are attempting to procure items from other suppliers.
